Warm and exotic, this canvas on stretcher is created using mixed media and coffee, as well as coffee grounds. 55x46 cm, varnished finish.
African queen, the face of Africa
Here, Africa takes the form of a face, unless it's the other way around. The headdress, a symbol, many elements from recycled computers, or objects representing gold, diamonds and the exploitation of Africa. Mixed media, collage with gilded metal foil background on canvas reinforced with cardboard backing and mounted on stretcher. Double framing, one gilded directly on the canvas, the other black in an American frame. Dimensions unframed 80x60cm, framed 84x66cm.
